I know you By Heart – Eva Cassidy

These two songs held me captive since  I listened to them on repeat over and over during the period of my search and even now they get to me….I am sharing them both with you and hope you enjoy them. Such a pure effortless voice and yet she seemed to be singing her sweet songs direct to me….If you can listen to them and focus on the lyrics and imagine my state of mind when I listened to them

Mummy and Black Baby Sheep

When you embark on a search such as this you will find your strength from supportive friends, family (if they are on board the train with you of course) . Walking alone in the woods was a real tonic for me. Just knowing that everything I encountered was created by nature and was as much mine as the next persons who I might meet walking that same woodland foot path. Fresh clean air , high above the car fumes and noise pollution and with views over my home town with no-one for miles. The tunes I carried with me while I recharged my mental and emotional batteries will all have special meaning to me for as long as I live. I well up hearing every single one of these chosen melodies. Just a start up cord of these  and I am now unable to see clearly as my eyes are swimming. Soft on the inside , with a crispy shell on the outside? That’s me.

I know you By Heart……………Eva Cassidy

Midnights in winter
The glowing fire
Lights up your face in orange and gold
I see your sweet smile
Shine through the darkness
Its line is etched in my memory
So I’d know you by heart
Mornings in april
Sharing the secrets
We’d walk until the morning was gone
We were like children
Laughing for hours
The joy you gave me
Lives on and on
‘Cause I know you by heart
I still hear your voice
On warm summer nights
Whispering like the wind
ohhh, ohhhh, ohhhhh, ohhhh

“Time Is A Healer”

I found a picture of your smiling face
Bringing old memories that I had locked away
The burden of anger from a heart filled with pain
Was finally lifted and I smile at you again[Chorus:]
If time is a healer
Then all hearts that break
Are put back together again
‘Cause love heals the wound it makes I spoke such harsh words before goodbye
Well I wanted to hurt you for the tears you made
You made me cry
All my hopes and dreams, well they started vanishing
Those tender hurt feelings became a dangerous thing[Chorus:]All of those years we spent together
Well they’re part of my life forever
I hold the joy with the pain
And the truth is I miss you my friend[Chorus:]Well time is a healer…
Love and Respect those who help you

Love and Respect those who help you

Thanks for Listening

With Love
